While many interior signs are now regulated by ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) this type of signage must address many other issues, such as flexibility for future expansion, ease of installation and maintenance.Character height must be sized according to the viewing distance from which they are to be read; typestyle must be sans serif with contrasting colors (light characters on a dark background or vice versa); signs must have a non-glare finish; mounting location and height is specific to the type of sign and symbols may be required to accompany text.
